UFC MAKES MAINSTREAM.
Highlights of UFC 105 were shown on Channel 5 few weeks ago. I guess they will show one highlights show for every event until they can get another deal with a pay per view channel so make the most of it whilst it's free!

FIGHTING FIT MAGAZINE
The publishers of Boxing News have recently launched a new magazine dedicated to fitness and fight preparation for combat sports, particulary Boxing and MMA.
It's a very good looking magazine with lots of information and makes a pleasent change from the majority of mags that just feature the same fighter profiles or show reports. The fifth issue is now out. Yet again there is more content and gives better value for money than the previous issues. Still very much MMA focussed but the training info is relavant for all disciplines and makes what makes this a must buy.

THE CONTENDER 2 - MUAY THAI
The second series of the reality show "The Contender - Muay Thai" is due to begin filming in the next few months. The English representative was decided by a knockout tournament on the 30th November last year and this will be Jordan Watson of Bad Company gym. Jordan fights on the Leeds Town Hall show this weekend before flying out to begin filming the show. I now have a copy of the show DVD and will it is available for members to view .

NAK MUAY MAGAZINE
I've just come across an advert for this British magazine on MAT-Magazine site even though they are up to their 3rd issue. It's in full colour and looks very professional, though a the moment it's only available on-line. I downloaded the web version which is free and will be trying to get hold of the printed copies as they are going to hard copy as well from issue 4. I can then bring copies into the gym. ERTB ON THE RADIO
I spoke on Radio Humberside last week discussing our club and Thai Boxing in general. This is a feature on the late show with Steve Redgrave where he talks to a guest about a picture (posted on the BBC web-site). We talked about my own experiences, martial arts in general, childrens competitions etc before looking at a picture of Craig and myself at Mejiro Gym in Amsterdam. Hopefuly I didn't make too much of a fool of myself!
